In Loving Memory of Nicole
Nicole Michelle Lee, a loving daughter; sister; aunt; cousin; granddaughter; friend; and mentor, was in a fatal car accident on Saturday, January 26, 2008. A 2007 graduate from Magruder High School in Derwood, MD and a freshman engineering major from Virginia Tech, she was an inspiration to so many as a leader, volunteer, and community member. She proved that a short life is not an incomplete life. The lives she touched will never be the same, and each day without her is a day where we will mourn our loss and remember our good fortune for having had her in our lives. She will be in our hearts forever, because to know Nicole Lee, was to love Nicole Lee
May she live on as a voice in your head, compassion in your heart, and a smile on your face.
Please take the time to sign the Guestbook, and let everyone know what made Nicole special to you.
“You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”
